Die Brücke über den Rio
Douro (Ponte de D. Luis I.) ist auf jeden Fall ein Muss:
sie ist UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Ganz oben fährt die
Metro-Eisenbahn und laufen die Fußgänger, unten fahren die Autos …

Entdecken kann man die
Stadt auch mit der alten Straßenbahn oder einem Touristen-Bähnchen (ohne
Schienen), das 8 € kostet und eine Rundfahrt mit anschl. Besuch einer Portwein-Kellerei
zur „Verkostung“ anbietet (also so eine Art „Einkaufs-Kaffeefahrt“) :-) .

Hauptsache, man ist erst
einmal „oben“. Dann geht alles leichter. Der Abstieg zu Fuß, die Fahrt mit der
Straßenbahn oder auch mit der Metro.
Das Parken ist so eine
Sache, für viele Womo-Fahrer empfiehlt sich wohl da ein Parkplatz an einer Metrostation.
Wir sind ganz hart und
gehen aufs Ganze: und haben Glück: ein schöner Parkplatz in der Nähe des
Bahnhofs Sao Bento und der Kathedrale. Was will man da mehr.

sich auch unbedingt anschauen: herrliche Kachelbilder warten auf den
Betrachter.
